Samsung Launches Rugged Galaxy XCover 7 Pro and Tab Active 5 Pro

Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro and Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro in select global markets. Both devices are powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset and boast MIL-STD-810H durability standards. With IP68-rated dust and water resistance, along with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ for display protection, these devices are designed for rugged use. They also run on Android 15 with One UI 7 and feature advanced AI capabilities, supporting both 5G and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.
Pricing and Availability of New Devices
The Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 Pro is priced at GBP 559 (approximately Rs. 63,300) for the 6GB + 128GB model. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro starts at GBP 769 (around Rs. 87,100) for the same RAM and storage configuration. Although the company has confirmed these prices, specific sale details have yet to be announced. Both devices are expected to be available for purchase in select global markets by the end of April, but Samsung has not yet disclosed plans for a launch in India.

The Galaxy XCover 7 Pro features a 6.6-inch full-HD+ TFT LCD display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. It supports Vision Booster, Wet Touch, and Glove Mode, along with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ for enhanced durability. Powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC, the device includes 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card. It operates on Android 15 with One UI 7.

It offers a brightness of up to 600 nits and features Vision Booster support along with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ for protection. Similar to the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro, it is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset and runs on Android 15 with One UI 7, supporting up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
In terms of camera capabilities, the tablet includes a 12-megapixel wide-angle rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. It also meets the same MIL-STD-810H certification and IP68 rating as the XCover 7 Pro. The tablet comes with an IP68-rated S Pen and a customizable Active Key for enhanced functionality. The Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro is equipped with a 10,100mAh replaceable battery that supports Dual Hot-Swap technology, allowing users to change batteries without shutting down the device. It can also operate directly from a power source without a battery. Connectivity and security features mirror those of the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro, and the tablet includes dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. It measures 170.2 x 242.9 x 10.2mm, with the Wi-Fi-only variant weighing 680g and the 5G version slightly heavier at 683g.
