Samsung Has Unveiled Two New A-Series Smartphones
Samsung has unveiled two new smartphones in India, the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G, expanding its popular A-series lineup. Both devices are designed with a focus on display quality, camera capabilities, and long-term software support. While they share many core features, they differ in camera specifications, size, and storage options, catering to a variety of user preferences.
Specifications and Features of the New Smartphones
The Samsung Galaxy A57 5G boasts a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED+ display, offering a smooth experience with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and Vision Booster support for enhanced visibility. The device measures 161.5 x 76.8 x 6.9mm and weighs 179 grams. In comparison, the Galaxy A37 5G also features a 6.7-inch FHD+ display, but utilizes a Super AMOLED panel with the same refresh rate and Vision Booster technology. This model is slightly larger, measuring 162.9 x 78.2 x 7.4mm and weighing 196 grams.
Both smartphones are equipped with a triple rear camera system, led by a 50MP wide sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 5MP macro camera. The Galaxy A57 5G includes a 12MP ultra-wide camera, while the Galaxy A37 5G features an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. For selfies, both devices come with a 12MP front camera with an f/2.2 aperture. Under the hood, the Galaxy A37 is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1480 processor, while the Galaxy A57 runs on the newer Exynos 1680. Both models are equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, and Samsung notes that actual battery performance may vary based on usage and network conditions. They operate on Android 16 with One UI 8.5, which includes updated system features and interface enhancements. Additionally, both devices are protected by Samsung Knox and have an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

The Galaxy A57 5G is available in two configurations: 8GB RAM with 256GB storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage. On the other hand, the Galaxy A37 5G offers more variety, with options including 8GB RAM paired with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage. This range of options allows users to select a model that best fits their storage needs and usage patterns.
AI Tools for Enhanced User Experience
Samsung has integrated several AI tools into the new models to simplify daily tasks. One notable feature is voice transcription in the recorder app, enabling users to convert audio recordings into text seamlessly. The Galaxy A57 also features a Best Face option for group photos and Auto Trim for video editing. Users can leverage search tools like Circle to Search with Google, which can identify multiple objects in a single image.
