Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh to visit Sri Lanka on 2nd & 3rd September to review defence ties

Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh will be visiting Sri Lanka on 2nd and 3rd September 2023. During the visit, Shri Rajnath Singh will have talks with Sri Lankan President and Defense Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena. The entire range of India’s defense ties with Sri Lanka will be examined during the meetings. The Raksha Mantri will also visit Nuwara Elia in central Sri Lanka and Trincomalee which is located in the eastern part of the country.

This visit by Shri Rajnath Singh will reaffirm India’s continued commitment to furthering the existing friendly and warm relations with Sri Lanka. It will be an important point of reference in building the strong bonds of friendship between the two countries.
