Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh to visit Malaysia to further cement defence ties & Enhanced Strategic Partnership

Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh will pay an official visit to Malaysia on 10-11 July 2023, with a focus on further consolidating bilateral defense cooperation and enhanced strategic partnership. The Raksha Mantri will hold bilateral talks with Malaysia’s Defense Minister, Dato’ Seri Mohamad Hasan, during which both ministers will review defense cooperation between the two countries and explore new initiatives to further strengthen the commitments. The two sides will also exchange views on regional and global issues of common interest.

Shri Rajnath Singh will also invite Prime Minister of Malaysia YB Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim during the visit.

India and Malaysia have a common interest in the peace and prosperity of the entire region. The two democracies have a strong and multifaceted relationship that has expanded into several strategic areas, including defense and security. Both countries are committed to working according to the vision of the enhanced strategic partnership established during Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s visit to Malaysia in 2015.
