US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and German Federal Defense Minister Boris Pistorius are visiting New Delhi for bilateral talks with Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh. Raksha Mantri’s meeting with the US Secretary of Defense will take place on 5 June 2023, while talks with the German Federal Minister of Defense will take place on 6 June. likely to be discussed during the two meetings.
The American defense secretary will arrive on the 4th of June from Singapore for a two day visit. It will be Secretary Austin’s second visit to India, the previous one in March 2021.
The German Federal Minister of Defense will be on a four-day visit to India starting June 5. He will come from Indonesia. In addition to his meeting with the Raksha Mantri, Boris Pistorius is likely to meet some defense start-ups at an event organized by Innovations for Defense Excellence (iDEX) in New Delhi. On 07 June he will travel to Mumbai, where he will likely visit HQ, Western Naval Command and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited.
