Markram, who was named Player of the Match, acknowledged the importance of a strong start during the powerplay. He praised the partnership with De Kock for setting the tone for the innings. “We actually bowled pretty well, obviously the powerplay was a big thing for us, to get off nicely,” he stated. Meanwhile, West Indies’ Shai Hope reflected on the team’s performance, noting that losing too many wickets during the powerplay was detrimental. “We were 40-50 short.
