Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Launches on Mobile

Ubisoft is expanding the reach of its popular action-adventure game, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, by bringing it to mobile devices next month. Originally released on various platforms in January 2024, the game will be available for both Android and iOS users starting April 14, 2024. The company has announced the pricing details and exciting features that mobile gamers can expect from this adaptation.

Mobile Price and Availability

The mobile version of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will retail for EUR 14.99 (approximately Rs. 1,400) in select global markets, as confirmed by Ubisoft. However, to celebrate the launch, the game will be offered at a special introductory price of EUR 9.99 (around Rs. 900) for the first three weeks after its release. Pre-registration is currently open on both the App Store and Play Store, allowing eager players to secure their copy ahead of time. Additionally, a free trial of the game’s introduction will be available, giving users a taste of the adventure before committing to the purchase.

Optimized Features for Mobile Gaming

Ubisoft’s Da Nang studio has worked diligently to optimize Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown for mobile devices. This adaptation allows players to enjoy the game offline, ensuring accessibility regardless of internet connectivity. The game supports a frame rate of up to 60 frames per second, promising smooth and responsive gameplay on most modern smartphones. Players can choose between using external controllers or navigating the game through customizable touch controls, which include options for remapping and adjusting the size and transparency of control inputs.

The mobile version of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown introduces several quality-of-life features tailored for mobile users. These include auto-potion and auto-parry functions, as well as a slow-motion option to enhance gameplay. Accessibility features, such as the Eye of the Wanderer, allow players to take screenshots and pin them to the map for easy reference. Additional options like adaptable difficulty settings for enemy encounters and platform assistance further enhance the gaming experience, making it more inclusive for a wider audience.
