Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi met with Thomas Pesquet, French aerospace engineer, pilot, astronaut and European Space Agency actor, in Paris on July 14, 2023.
The Prime Minister shared with Pesquet India’s progress in the space sector, particularly in fostering startups and encouraging greater private sector participation. The prime minister invited Pesquet to visit India to motivate young people and to explore partnerships in the space sector.
Pesquet shared his experiences as an astronaut with the Prime Minister and discussed the possible contours of future space programs and technologies.
