On 10 September 2023, on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in New Delhi, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi met HE Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, President of Brazil.
President Lula congratulated the Prime Minister on the success of India’s presidency of the G20. The Prime Minister expressed his best wishes for the Brazilian G20 Presidency next year and assured him of India’s full support.
Discussions were held on ways to strengthen the India-Brazil strategic partnership, including cooperation in biofuels, pharmaceuticals, agricultural industries, space and aviation.
At the conclusion of the meeting a joint statement was released.
