The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, today released the commemorative coin of the late Shri NT Rama Rao on his centenary at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Center (28 August 2023).
Speaking on the occasion, the President said that Late Shri NT Rama Rao has enriched Indian cinema and culture through Telugu films. He it inspired life THE prominent characters from the Ramayana and Mahabharata through his recitation. The characters of Lord Rama and Lord Krishna played by him became so alive that people started worshiping NTR. He noted that NTR also expressed the pain of ordinary people through his acting. He spread the message of social justice and equality through one of his films “Manushulanta Okkate” or All human beings are equal.
The President said NTR’s popularity is equally broad as a public servant and leader. He has created a unique chapter in Indian politics through his extraordinary personality and his hard work. He started many public assistance programs, which are remembered up toToday.
The President appreciated the Ministry of Finance and Government of India for bringing the commemorative coin to NTR. He said that his unique personality would always remain in people’s hearts, especially Telugu-speaking people.
