Poco C71 Set to Launch in India This Week
Poco has officially announced the launch of its latest smartphone, the Poco C71, scheduled for April 4 at 12 PM IST. This new device is expected to succeed the Poco C61, which debuted in March 2024. The company has revealed key features, design elements, and potential pricing, generating excitement among tech enthusiasts in India.
Poco C71 India Launch Details
The Poco C71 will make its debut in India on April 4, as confirmed by the company through a post on X. The announcement includes a link to the dedicated Flipkart microsite, where promotional images suggest the smartphone will be priced below Rs. 7,000. For context, the previous model, the Poco C61, was launched at Rs. 6,999 for the base variant featuring 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
According to the Flipkart microsite, the Poco C71 will showcase a “split grid design” with a dual-tone finish. It will be available in three color options: Cool Blue, Desert Gold, and Power Black. The design features a vertical pill-shaped rear camera module with a distinctive golden border positioned on the top left side of the back panel.
The smartphone’s display is designed with thin side bezels, a thicker chin, and a centered waterdrop notch for the front camera. The volume rocker and power button are conveniently located on the right edge, while the SIM card slot is situated on the left edge of the device.
Impressive Display and Battery Features
The Poco C71 boasts a 6.88-inch display with a remarkable 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals for users. It is also certified by TÜV Rheinland for eye protection, featuring low blue light, flicker-free, and circadian certifications. Additionally, the display is expected to support wet touch functionality, allowing users to operate the device even with wet hands.
Powering the Poco C71 is a robust 5,200mAh battery, which supports 15W wired charging. The device is designed with an IP52 rating, providing dust and splash resistance. For added security, it will feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, enhancing user convenience.
Performance and Camera Specifications
The Poco C71 is equipped with an octa-core chipset that is anticipated to achieve an impressive AnTuTu score of over 300,000. It will come with 6GB of RAM, with the option to expand virtual RAM by an additional 6GB, bringing the total to 12GB. Furthermore, the smartphone will support storage expansion of up to 2TB, catering to users with extensive storage needs. In terms of photography, the Poco C71 will feature a dual rear camera setup, highlighted by a 32-megapixel main sensor. For selfies, it will include an 8-megapixel front camera. The device will ship with Android 15 and is promised two years of Android OS upgrades along with four years of security updates, ensuring longevity and performance for users.
