PM’s Webinars Showcase Excellence in Public Administration

The Prime Minister has mobilized the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG) to initiate a series of virtual conferences aimed at enhancing the dissemination of successful public administration practices across India. These sessions feature past laureates of the Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Public Administration, who share their insights and experiences to inspire replication of their initiatives.

Since April 2022, the DARPG has hosted 35 National Good Governance Webinars, conducting one each month with the goal of promoting award-winning practices. Each webinar draws an audience of approximately 1,000 attendees, including officials from various line departments, state governments, district collectors, and national training institutes.

The webinars serve as a platform not only to discuss the sustainability of previous initiatives but also to evaluate their potential for replication and expansion throughout the country.

Latest Webinar Highlights

The 35th Webinar took place on February 27, 2026, focusing on two initiatives celebrated with the PM’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration in 2023, under the theme of ‘Holistic Development of Districts’. The first presentation came from Shri Prasanna Venkatesh V., Secretary of the Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society, discussing the Eluru District initiative. The second was presented by Shri Atha Aamir Khan, Deputy Commissioner of Kulgam in Jammu & Kashmir, outlining his district’s award-winning initiative.

Chairing the Webinar was Shri Puneet Yadav, Additional Secretary of DARPG, who was joined by senior officials from the department. The event witnessed participation from over 740 locations across India, showcasing the involvement of Senior Officials from the Administrative Reforms Departments of various States and Union Territories, as well as District Collectors and officers from Central and State Administrative Training Institutes.
