Vallabhbhai Patel (31 October 1875- 15 December 1950) was an Indian Statesman. He served as the first Deputy Prime Minister of India from 1947 to 1950. And, known as the Iron man of India and known for reunification of India.

PM, Shree Narendra Modi, remembers the legend on his Punya Tithi. He paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and expressed his gratefulness to the Iron Man of India for his great service to the nation.

Sardar Patel is known as Iron Man of India and known to reuniting the whole country. As a results, the Statue of Unity is a monument dedicated to Patel, located in the Indian state of Gujarat, facing the Narmada Dam, 3.2 km away from Sadhu Bet near Vadodara.

He was also awarded with Bharat Ratna, Highest Civilian award of India. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in Gujrat is named after him.
