PM pays tributes to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on his Punya Tithi

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya (25 September 1916, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh; died 11 February 1968) was a leader of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh. Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay was a brilliant thinker, excellent organizer and a leader who valued his personal honesty and integrity throughout his life. He has been a source of ideological guidance and moral inspiration for the Bharatiya Janata Party. Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay considered those who divided Indian culture based on religion and responsible for the partition of the country. He was not only a Hindu nationalist, but at the same time he was also a pioneer of Indian politics. Deendayal believed that Hindus were not a religion or a sect, but the national culture of India. Deendayal Upadhyay’s book Integral Humanism, which critiques both communism and capitalism. Integral humanism provides an alternative context for political action in accordance with the basic needs of mankind and the laws created. He was born on 25 September 1916 in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has paid tributes to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Ji on his Punya Tithi. In a tweet, the Prime Minister said

पंडित दीनदयाल उपाध्याय जी का संपूर्ण जीवन सर्वजन हिताय-सर्वजन सुखाय के सिद्धांत पर आधारित रहा। उनका एकात्म मानववाद का दर्शन भारत ही नहीं, बल्कि दुनिया की कई समस्याओं का समाधान देने में सक्षम है। उनकी पुण्यतिथि पर आदरपूर्ण श्रद्धांजलि।
