About CRPF Raising Day

Since India’s largest central armed police force came into existence on this day in 1939, July 27 is celebrated as Central Reserve Police Force foundation day every year. With the enactment of the CRPF Act on 28 December 1949, soon after India gained independence from the colonial raj, it got its name, Central Reserve Police Force.
