PlayStation Plus Launches 2026 with Need for Speed Unbound and Two Additional Titles

Sony has unveiled the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup for January 2026, offering subscribers three exciting titles starting January 6. This month’s selection features a mix of genres, including a high-octane racing game, a nostalgic platformer remake, and a cooperative survival adventure. Players will have the opportunity to download and enjoy these games throughout the month, provided their PlayStation Plus membership remains active.

Need for Speed Unbound

One of the standout titles for January is “Need for Speed Unbound.” This racing game, which debuted in late 2022, marks a significant return for the long-standing franchise after a hiatus. Set in a vibrant city, players engage in street racing events, navigating through scheduled qualifiers and aiming for larger races. The game introduces thrilling police pursuits, where players must evade capture while managing their vehicle’s damage and heat levels. As players progress, they can customize their cars to enhance performance and aesthetics. Notably, music artist A$AP Rocky features in the storyline, which chronicles a rise through the competitive street racing scene. Sony has confirmed that “Need for Speed Unbound” will be exclusively available for PlayStation 5 users.

Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed

Another exciting addition to the January lineup is “Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed.” This title revisits the beloved platform game originally released on the Wii in 2010. The updated version replaces motion-based controls with standard controller inputs, making it more accessible for modern gamers. Players will step into the shoes of Mickey Mouse, exploring whimsical environments inspired by Disney’s rich history. The game challenges players with puzzles and platforming tasks while retaining the core elements that made the original a hit. Renowned game designer Warren Spector, known for his contributions to earlier role-playing and action titles, played a pivotal role in this remake. “Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed” will be available on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Core Keeper

Completing the January offerings is “Core Keeper,” a game that transitioned from several years in early access to a full release. Set in an underground world, players are tasked with gathering resources, constructing structures, and exploring new areas. While the game supports solo play, it emphasizes cooperative gameplay, allowing up to eight players to share a world and progress together. This focus on collaboration enhances the gaming experience, making it a great choice for friends looking to embark on adventures together.

Subscribers are reminded that they have until January 5 to claim December’s PlayStation Plus Monthly Games, which include titles such as “Lego Horizon Adventures,” “Killing Floor 3,” “The Outlast Trials,” “Synduality Echo of Ada,” and “Neon White.”
