A parliamentary delegation from Malawi, led by the Speaker of the National Assembly of Malawi, Rt. Honorable Catherine Gotani Hara invited the President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu to Rashtrapati Bhavan today (31 July 2023).
Welcoming the delegation, the President said that India and Malawi share longtime cordial and friendly relations, and there is immense scope for adding more depth to our bonds. He said our common belief in democratic values ​​and pluralism makes India and Malawi natural partners.
The President noted that India has been one of Malawi’s largest trading and private investment partners and is also a favorite destination of Malawian citizens for health and education. She was pleased to note that India has a strong development partnership program with Malawi and that a number of projects have been implemented in Malawi in areas such as infrastructure, health, water, capacity building and education.
