OnePlus has officially announced the launch of its highly anticipated OnePlus 13s smartphone, set to debut in India and other markets during the first week of June. This device marks the company’s entry into the compact flagship segment and will be powered by Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. With a promise of impressive battery life and innovative cooling technology, the OnePlus 13s aims to deliver a premium user experience.
Launch Date and Color Options
The OnePlus 13s is scheduled for launch in India on June 5 at 12 PM IST. The smartphone will be available in three distinct color options: Black Velvet, Pink Satin, and Green Silk. Notably, the Green Silk variant will be exclusive to the Indian market, highlighting OnePlus’s focus on catering to local preferences. This compact flagship is designed to appeal to users seeking high performance in a smaller form factor.
Performance and Cooling Technology
At the heart of the OnePlus 13s is the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which promises to deliver top-tier performance. The device features a 4400 sq mm Cryo-Velocity vapor chamber, complemented by a cooling layer on the back cover. This advanced cooling system is engineered to enhance heat dissipation, ensuring optimal performance even during intensive tasks. OnePlus conducted stress tests using Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), demonstrating that the phone maintained a stable frame rate for up to seven hours of gameplay. Additionally, users can expect up to 24 hours of usage on a single charge during WhatsApp calls and 16 hours of content browsing on Instagram.
Innovative Features and Connectivity
The OnePlus 13s introduces a new Plus key, which replaces the traditional alert slider. This customizable button allows users to quickly access essential functions such as Sound, Vibration, Do Not Disturb, and AI tools with a single press. To enhance connectivity, OnePlus has upgraded its 360-degree antenna system, which now includes a total of 11 antennas. This setup features three high-performance modules and four-mode ultra-wideband low-frequency antennas, aimed at improving signal strength by up to 60 percent, even in challenging environments.
Moreover, the OnePlus 13s is equipped with a G1 Wi-Fi chipset, specifically developed for smartphones in India. This chipset is designed to provide fast and stable Wi-Fi connectivity, whether users are commuting on the Delhi Metro or navigating low-signal buildings and lifts. The device also supports 5.5G connectivity, allowing it to connect to three network cells across different towers simultaneously, ensuring seamless connectivity.
