The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Images Leak

Recent leaks have hinted at a surprise announcement and launch for the remastered version of Oblivion this April. However, the latest information suggests that this project is a remaster rather than a full remake. Screenshots leaked from the developer Virtous’s website showcase various graphical improvements, including enhanced character models and environments. These images were shared on social media and platforms like ResetEra, generating buzz among fans.

The leaked promotional key art confirms the title as The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. Earlier reports had speculated that the game would be entirely rebuilt using Unreal Engine 5, but the current leaks indicate a focus on remastering the original experience. Further details regarding the extent of the remaster and its features are expected to be revealed once Bethesda officially announces the game.

According to the leaks, Oblivion Remastered is being developed in collaboration with Bethesda’s Dallas and Rockville studios. The game is set to be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S/X, as well as through Game Pass, making it accessible to a wide audience.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Launch Timeline

While Bethesda and Microsoft have not yet confirmed the remaster, various industry sources suggest that the announcement is imminent. Jeff Grubb from Giant Bomb recently indicated that the new version of Oblivion could be shadow dropped at any moment in April. He further speculated that the release might coincide with the conclusion of the Elder Scrolls Online anniversary event, which runs from April 3 to April 22.

Grubb has narrowed down the potential release window, stating on the Game Mess Mornings podcast that Oblivion Remastered could launch โ€œnext week.โ€ He mentioned, โ€œI’ll give people a week now. The week of April 21, so basically the last week of this month โ€” next week, essentially.โ€ This timeline aligns with the leaked images, suggesting that an official announcement could be forthcoming.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, originally released in 2006 for PC and Xbox 360, is widely regarded as one of the greatest RPGs of all time. The anticipation for its remaster reflects the enduring popularity of the game and the excitement of fans eager to revisit the iconic world of Tamriel.
