National Youth Festival 2026: Celebrating Innovation and Education

The National Youth Festival (NYF) 2026 is currently underway at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, running from January 9 to 12. This vibrant event showcases the spirit and aspirations of India’s youth while emphasizing the importance of education and skill development, aligned with the National Education Policy 2020.

Highlights of NYF 2026

A key focus of this year’s festival is the launch of the Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya, offering young people access to an extensive digital library filled with books and educational resources. The festival also demonstrates cutting-edge educational tools like DIKSHA, Virtual Labs, and Augmented Reality (AR) applications designed to create engaging learning experiences that enhance both conceptual understanding and practical abilities.

Empowering Youth Through Technology

At NYF 2026, the PM eVidya initiative is being featured as an all-encompassing digital education platform that aims to provide equitable access to quality learning through online, on-air, and broadcast methods. The festival promotes career readiness and skill development through various digital initiatives, including the My Career Advisor app. This tool guides young individuals in making informed career choices, thereby increasing their employability.

Lifelong Learning and Community Engagement

The festival also highlights the importance of lifelong learning through the ULLAS program, which encourages adult education via community involvement. Furthermore, foundational learning is being supported through e-Jaadui Pitara, a playful digital resource aimed at caregivers of young learners, making education engaging right from the start.

Volunteerism in Education

Another significant initiative showcased at NYF 2026 is Vidyanjali, an online volunteer program organized by the Department of School Education & Literacy. This platform connects youth, school alumni, professionals, and community members, allowing them to contribute their skills and knowledge to enhance learning in government schools. Volunteers can share resources, mentor students, and participate actively in school activities through the Vidyanjali portal.

Commitment to Future-Ready Education

Through these dynamic initiatives, NYF 2026 is reaffirming India’s dedication to providing inclusive, technology-driven education that prepares its youth for the future, in line with the aspirations set forth in the National Education Policy 2020.
