National Panchayat Awards 2025 Ceremony Set for June 3, 2026
The prestigious National Panchayat Awards 2025 conferment ceremony is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, in New Delhi. This important event will honor 42 exemplary Panchayats from all over India and will be graced by prominent figures including the Union Minister of Panchayati Raj and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh, also known as Lalan Singh, along with Union Minister of State for Panchayati Raj, Prof. S. P. Singh Baghel.
Secretary of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Shri Vivek Bharadwaj, is set to join senior officials from the Government of India, along with elected representatives from various Panchayati Raj Institutions across states and union territories, for this significant ceremony.
Recognizing Excellence in Panchayati Raj
The upcoming ceremony follows the earlier event on April 24, 2025, when Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi presented awards under three special categories. The June 3 ceremony will focus on awarding the remaining categories of the National Panchayat Awards 2025. Of the 42 honored Panchayats, 34 will receive the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar award, while 8 Panchayats will be acknowledged under the Nanaji Deshmukh Sarvottam Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar category.
Documentation of Best Practices
In addition to the award presentations, the event will also debut an eBook that showcases the achievements and best practices of the award-winning Panchayats. Furthermore, a comprehensive compendium detailing best practices for strengthening Panchayati Raj Institutions throughout India will be released.
Sharing Success Stories
A key part of the ceremony will involve heads of the awarded Panchayats presenting their innovative practices and achievements during two dedicated sessions prior to the awards being conferred. This initiative aims to inspire and guide other Panchayats in their efforts to enhance community development and governance.
