Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali. This visit is expected to deepen the bilateral ties between India and Ethiopia, showcasing their shared commitment as partners in the Global South. Modi and Dr. Abiy Ahmed will hold extensive discussions focused on all facets of their countries’ relations, highlighting the importance of friendship and cooperation.
Strengthening Bonds with Oman
The final leg of Modi’s trip will take him to the Sultanate of Oman from December 17 to 18, 2025, following an invitation from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. This marks Modi’s second visit to Oman, a country with which India shares an all-encompassing Strategic Partnership rooted in centuries of friendship, trade, and cultural exchange. This visit commemorates 70 years of diplomatic relations and will follow the Sultan’s recent State visit to India in December 2023.
During discussions in Oman, both leaders will review the breadth of their bilateral partnership, which includes critical areas such as trade, investment, energy, defense, and technology. Additionally, they will exchange views on various regional and global challenges of mutual interest.
