The Ministry of Youth and Sports Invites Nominations for the 2022 Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award. The Ministry of Youth and Sports, Govt. of India confers the National Adventure Awards called “Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award” (TNNAA) in order to recognize the achievements of associated people in the field of adventure and encourage young people to develop the spirit of endurance, risk-taking, work of cooperative team and quick, quick and effective reflexes in difficult situations.
Applications for TNNAA 2022 are invited through the portal https://awards.gov.in from 15th from 2023 to 14 Juneth July 2023. The guidelines for the award are available on the website of the Ministry of Youth and Sports at the following URL https://yas.nic.in/youth-affairs/inviting-nominations-tenzing-norgay-national-adventure-award-2022-15th-june-2023-14th . Any person who has outstanding performance and outstanding leadership qualities, a sense of adventure discipline, and continued achievement in a particular field of adventure viz. Land, air or water (sea) can apply for the award before the last date, i.e. 14th July 2023 through the above portal.
The prize consists of a bronze statuette, a certificate, a silk tie blazer/sari and a cash prize of Rs. 15 lakhs. The awards are presented to the winners along with the Arjuna Awards by the Government of India.
Usually, an award is given in four categories: Land Adventure, Aquatic (marine) Adventure, Air Adventure, and Time Achievement for land, sea, and air adventure activities. The achievements of the last 3 years are considered for the 3 categories, namely Land Adventure, Water (Sea) Adventure, Air Adventure and for the Life Time Achievement award, the achievement of the entire career is considered.
