During the event, Dr. Jitendra Singh urged the PMO staff to uphold high standards of cleanliness, saying that government offices should be role models in the nationwide Swachh Bharat campaign. He also praised the commitment of many ministries and departments for making this campaign a national movement and supporting the vision of a cleaner India.
Dr. Singh mentioned the activities that started on October 2, 2024, the day of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth. On that day, the Minister led a large clean-up drive and inspired citizens by joining the sanitation efforts. He interacted with volunteers and government workers, urging them to take responsibility for keeping their surroundings clean and to work toward a sustainable future.
Progress of Swachchata Hi Sewa Campaign 4.0

According to V. Srinivas, the Secretary of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), the campaign has achieved impressive results. So far, more than 63.48 lakh square feet of space has been cleared, and Rs. 53.6 crore has been generated from scrap disposal.
