The Ministry of Mines has observed the Mission Lifestyle for Awareness (LiFE) with a series of events during a month-long campaign. The Ministry has involved in videoconferencing the Offices in charge/subordinates, the Public Enterprises and the Autonomous Bodies under its control for the aforementioned campaign.
The Secretary (Mines) administered an engagement with senior officials of the Ministry under ‘Mission LiFE’ on World Environment Day i.e. 05.06.2023 at Khanij Kaksh, Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi.
A Seminar was organized at Shastri Bhawan on 23.05.2023 to raise awareness among new recruits to the Ministry. T-shirts were distributed to them and the teams visited the departmental cafeteria to raise awareness of food waste minimization and better management/disposal of e-waste. Slogans and catchy messages graced the corridors of the Ministry to spread awareness about Mission Life. Furthermore, an online quiz on the topic was also organized and the winners were awarded.
Ministry of Mines celebrates #MissionLiFE to focus on continuous innovation and adopting a #sustainable lifestyle. Appeal messages were circulated in the Ministry offices.
All Ministry field formations organized activities and events such as tree planting guidance, awareness seminars and awareness rallies. The activities of the Ministry and its branch offices have been regularly uploaded to the dedicated portal merilife.org.
Seminar on Mission Life at the Ministry of Mines
Secretary (Mines) Shri Vivek Bharadwaj administered the life pledge and encouraged everyone to fulfill it in daily life. The Ministry’s field training employees also took part in the LiFE commitment at their respective workstations.
