Mera Yuva Bharat

India is embarking on a transformative journey with the launch of Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), a national initiative aimed at empowering the youth and fostering their active participation in nation-building. Officially inaugurated on October 31, 2023, during Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, this platform seeks to connect over 2 crore young individuals and 1.2 lakh organizations through a unified digital ecosystem. MY Bharat aims to harness the potential of the youth, driving growth and innovation while laying the groundwork for a developed India by 2047.

Empowering Youth Through Digital Innovation

MY Bharat represents a significant shift in how youth engagement is approached in India. With 65% of the population under the age of 35, the initiative recognizes the need for a platform that resonates with the aspirations of today’s young citizens. It serves as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, providing a technology-driven mechanism that connects youth with opportunities for volunteering, leadership, and skill development. The platform allows young individuals to engage in initiatives across various sectors, including health, education, and social inclusion, thereby addressing real-world challenges.

The initiative primarily targets individuals aged 15 to 29, while also nurturing adolescents aged 10 to 19 to foster early civic awareness. By integrating technology with governance and public participation, MY Bharat aims to create a comprehensive digital ecosystem where youth can thrive. This approach not only enhances employability but also instills a sense of civic pride among participants, recognizing their contributions through verified digital credentials.

Strategic Partnerships and Growth

To bolster its impact, MY Bharat has established strategic partnerships, including Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the Digital India Corporation and the School of Ultimate Leadership Foundation (SOUL). These collaborations aim to enhance the platform’s capabilities by integrating advanced AI tools, mentorship programs, and leadership training. The initiative has already onboarded over 2 crore youth and 1.20 lakh organizations, creating a vibrant ecosystem for collaboration and action.

The platform has generated over 14.5 lakh volunteering opportunities, linking a vast network of youth club members and institutional partners, including government bodies and NGOs. Collaborations with major corporate partners, such as Reliance, have further expanded its reach through impactful programs and boot camps, channeling youth energy into civic and community development. As a scalable and data-driven platform, MY Bharat is positioned as the technological backbone of India’s youth-led development movement.

MY Bharat 2.0: A Comprehensive Engagement Ecosystem

The upgraded MY Bharat 2.0 introduces a suite of advanced digital modules that expand the platform’s functionality beyond mere registration. Key features include the National Career Service for employment linkages, a Mentorship Hub connecting youth with industry experts, and Experiential Learning Programs that promote civic responsibility. The platform also integrates health and fitness initiatives under the Fit India campaign, ensuring holistic youth well-being.

To enhance accessibility, MY Bharat has launched a mobile app that combines the core functions of the portal with added convenience. The app features multilingual support, AI-driven chatbots, and tools for building verified digital profiles. This mobile-first approach ensures that youth can engage with opportunities anytime and anywhere, further bridging the digital divide.

Future Aspirations and National Transformation

Looking ahead, MY Bharat aims to expand its ecosystem to include career counseling, AI-based skill mapping, and entrepreneurship support, positioning itself as the largest youth digital network in the Global South. Planned integrations with national digital platforms will enhance interoperability and policy convergence, ensuring that youth engagement remains inclusive and outcome-driven.

In less than two years since its inception, MY Bharat has transformed into India’s largest digital platform for youth engagement, creating new pathways for volunteering, leadership, and skill development. The initiative’s success is a testament to the power of youth when they are empowered, connected, and inspired to take action. As India strives towards a developed nation by 2047, MY Bharat stands as a beacon of hope and opportunity for the youth, encouraging them to become active architects of change.
