Scene 1: School Fee Preparations and Hidden Observers
Mangal sat at her table carefully counting the money she had saved to pay for Neel’s school admission fees. As she sorted through the bills and coins, she realized with disappointment that the amount was not sufficient to cover all the educational expenses. “This money is not enough to pay for everything Neel needs,” she said to herself with concern. “I must win the Pehla Swad competition to earn the additional funds required for his schooling.” She was determined to handle this financial responsibility independently without asking anyone for assistance.
“I don’t want to take help from anyone else,” she resolved firmly. “I will find a way to manage this on my own.” After finishing her count, she carefully placed all the money inside a secure locker that was kept in her bedroom cupboard. Unknown to Mangal, dangerous criminals were secretly watching her every move from outside her house. “Look, she’s putting the money in that cupboard,” one robber whispered to his companions. “We know exactly where to find it when we break in.” The thieves had been observing her routine and planning their attack for several days.
Meanwhile, at school, Ishana was dealing with embarrassing comments from her classmates about her new family member. “Your cousin Neel is acting very strangely,” her friends told her mockingly. “Look at how he’s playing with papers instead of paying attention in class.” The children continued their criticism of Neel’s behavior. “He doesn’t seem interested in studying at all,” they observed. “Why is he here if he doesn’t want to learn?” Sowmya noticed the conversation about Neel and felt embarrassed by his actions in front of the other students and parents. She approached him directly to address his disruptive behavior.
“You need to stop embarrassing me in front of my friends and their families,” she scolded him quietly. “Your behavior is reflecting poorly on all of us.” After delivering this warning, she left him alone to think about what she had said. Neel stood there remembering how Mangal had forced him to attend school against his wishes. “I never wanted to come here,” he thought bitterly. “She made me enroll even though I told her I wasn’t interested in studying.”
Scene 2: Fire Alarms and Criminal Confrontations
Back at home, Mangal finished securing her money and locked the cupboard carefully with her key. However, as she turned around, she noticed the dangerous-looking men who had been watching her house. “Who are these people, and why are they here?” she wondered with alarm. She attempted to call for help from her neighbors, but before she could make any noise, one of the criminals quickly caught her and covered her mouth. “Don’t make a sound, or you’ll regret it,” he threatened her. The robbers immediately began working to break open the locked cupboard where they knew she kept her money. “Get that locker open quickly,” their leader commanded. “We know the cash is in there.”
At the same time, Neel was implementing his own plan to cause trouble at the school and disrupt the normal activities. “I’ll show them what happens when they force me to come here,” he thought mischievously. He deliberately set fire to some papers and placed the burning materials in a dustbin near the school’s fire detection system. “This should create enough chaos to send everyone home,” he planned. The fire alarm began ringing loudly throughout the building, causing panic among students and teachers. The school watchman heard the alarm and rushed to investigate the source of the emergency. “Where is this fire coming from?” he asked as he searched the building. When he discovered the burning papers in the dustbin, he quickly put out the small fire with water. “How did this fire start?” he wondered suspiciously. “This looks like it was set deliberately.”
Meanwhile, Mangal was fighting back against the robbers who were trying to steal her hard-earned money. “Leave my house immediately,” she demanded courageously. “You have no right to be here or take anything that belongs to me.” However, one of the criminals pulled out a knife and held it threateningly against her. “Stop fighting, or we’ll hurt you badly,” he warned her menacingly. “Cooperate with us, and nobody gets hurt.” Back at school, Neel was enjoying the chaos he had created as students began leaving the building due to the fire alarm. “Finally, everyone is going home,” he said with satisfaction. However, Ishana confronted him about his destructive behavior.
“I know you caused that fire,” she accused him directly. “My mother is working so hard to get you a proper education, but instead you’re acting like a criminal.” She continued criticizing his ungrateful attitude. “You’re doing goondagiri instead of appreciating the opportunities you’ve been given,” she said angrily. Neel responded to her criticism with threats and intimidation. “You better stay away from me and mind your own business,” he warned her aggressively. “If you don’t, I’ll teach both you and your mother a lesson you’ll never forget.”
Scene 3: Violence and Theft Success
Just as the situation at Mangal’s house was becoming more dangerous, Kusum arrived unexpectedly with sweets to share with the family. “I brought these sweets to celebrate Neel’s school admission,” she said happily as she entered the house. However, she was shocked to discover the robbers attacking Mangal. “What is happening here?” she shouted with alarm. Without hesitation, Kusum began fighting the criminals to protect Mangal. “Get away from her,” she demanded as she attacked the thieves with whatever objects she could find. Seeing Kusum’s brave intervention, Mangal joined the fight against their attackers.
“We can fight them together,” she said as both women tried to defend themselves and their home. Initially, the robbers seemed overwhelmed by the resistance from both women. “We should leave now,” one of them suggested nervously. “These women are fighting too hard.” They appeared to be apologizing and preparing to retreat without taking anything. “We’ll go away and leave you alone,” they claimed.
However, this was just a deceptive tactic to lower the women’s guard. The criminals suddenly grabbed Kusum and used her as leverage against Mangal. “Stop fighting, or your friend gets hurt,” they threatened. Mangal immediately became concerned for Kusum’s safety. “Don’t hurt her,” she pleaded. “She has nothing to do with this situation.” In the confusion and struggle that followed, one of the robbers pushed Mangal forcefully toward the furniture. She lost her balance and hit her head hard against the edge of a table before falling unconscious to the floor. “Now we can take the money without any more trouble,” the criminals said as they successfully broke into the cupboard and stole all of Mangal’s savings. With their mission accomplished, the robbers quickly escaped from the house, leaving both women injured.
Scene 4: Medical Care and Police Investigation
When Ishana returned home from school, she was horrified to find Mangal lying unconscious on the floor with a serious head injury. “What happened to her?” she asked Kusum with panic. “Is she going to be okay?” Kusum immediately took charge of the emergency situation. “Call the doctor right away,” she instructed Ishana urgently. “We need medical help immediately.” While they waited for medical assistance, the robbers met with Sowmya to report on their successful mission. “We have completed the work you hired us to do,” they informed her. “Mangal is badly injured and will not be able to compete in the Pehla Swad competition for quite some time.”
Pleased with their effectiveness, Sowmya rewarded them with additional money beyond their agreed payment. “Here’s extra money for hurting Mangal,” she said with satisfaction. “You did even better than I expected.” Later, Sowmya arrived at Mangal’s house, pretending to be concerned about the situation. The doctor who had been called to treat Mangal examined her head injury carefully. “She must regain consciousness soon,” he warned everyone present. “If she doesn’t wake up within the next few hours, we’ll need to transfer her to the hospital for more intensive treatment.” Fortunately, Mangal did regain consciousness after some time, much to everyone’s relief. Kusum used this opportunity to express her concerns about the family’s living arrangements. “Your decision to live separately with the children was wrong,” she told Mangal.
“This attack might not have happened if you were still living with the extended family.” Sowmya quickly intervened to redirect the conversation. “This is not the appropriate time for such discussions,” she said. “We should focus on Mangal’s recovery right now.” The doctor provided specific instructions for Mangal’s care. “She needs to remain under medical observation for 72 hours,” he advised. “Any changes in her condition should be reported immediately.” Sowmya then mentioned the timing of the competition. “Tomorrow is the first round of the Pehla Swad competition,” she pointed out. Kusum immediately advised Mangal against participating. “You should not compete in this condition,” she said firmly. “Ishana, please withdraw your mother’s name from the competition.”
Despite her injuries, Mangal was determined to file a police complaint about the robbery. The inspector who took her statement found several suspicious aspects to the crime. “This area is generally very safe,” he observed. “It appears that someone deliberately planned this attack on you specifically.” When he asked about potential enemies, Mangal insisted she had no conflicts with anyone. “I can’t think of anyone who would want to hurt me,” she said honestly. The inspector assured her of police action. “We will catch these thieves and recover your stolen money,” he promised. Before leaving for her own participation in the competition, Sowmya approached Kusum for blessings.
“Please bless me for success in the Pehla Swad competition,” she requested. Kusum gave her the traditional blessings. Meanwhile, police officers arrived at Kusum’s house to investigate the robbery further. This development made Sowmya nervous about potential evidence that might connect her to the crime. “I hope they don’t find any clues that point to my involvement,” she worried silently. Despite her injuries and the doctor’s advice, Mangal checked the time and announced her intention to participate. “I have to leave for the competition now,” she said determinedly. Ishana tried to convince her to rest instead.
“You’re not in any condition to compete,” she protested. At the same time, the inspector shared a disturbing conclusion with Kusum. “Based on our investigation, it appears that someone close to Mangal hired these thieves to attack her,” he revealed. As he spoke, Sowmya watched nervously, wondering if the police suspected her involvement in the crime.

Mangal will tell Sowmya that she has no interest in working with her but acknowledges they must collaborate to win the competition, warning Sowmya not to attempt any tricks during their partnership. Sowmya will agree to work together honestly. However, during the competition, when Mangal pours hot water into a cooking utensil, Sowmya will deliberately hit the electric kettle, causing the scalding water to splash into Mangal’s eyes and injure her further.
