Maj. Gen. Ignatius Delos Flora has assumed charge as Additional Director General of Military Nursing Service (MNS) from 1 September 2023. The General Officer is an alumnus of the School of Nursing, Army Hospital Delhi Cantt, now College of Nursing, Army Hospital (Research and Development).
She was commissioned into the MNS in 1985 and completed her midwifery training from the Air Force Command Hospital, Bangalore in 1986. Continuing her higher studies she completed her PCBSc Nursing from the College of Nursing AFMC Pune in 1995.
During his illustrious career of 38 years, the General Officer has held various key positions in Armed Forces Medical Services hospitals including JDMNS Eastern Command (Trg & HS), DPM INHS Asvini, Head Nurse AICTS Pune, the Brig MNS at Northern Command HQ.
