Mahindra Auto Reports Strong Sales Growth in December 2025
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., a prominent player in the Indian automotive sector, revealed impressive sales figures for December 2025, marking a significant milestone in the company’s performance. The auto manufacturer reported a total of 86,090 vehicle sales for the month, reflecting a robust growth of 25% year-on-year, including exports.
Utility Vehicles and Commercial Vehicles Rise
In the Utility Vehicles category, Mahindra recorded domestic sales of 50,946 units, translating to a 23% increase compared to the same month last year. Furthermore, sales in the Commercial Vehicles segment were also encouraging, with a total of 24,786 units sold domestically, which represents a remarkable growth of 34%.

Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of Mahindra’s Automotive Division, noted the strong performance, stating, “The end of 2025 has been particularly fruitful for us, with record volumes achieved in the SUV and Light Commercial Vehicle segments. According to the sales figures released, the breakdown for December shows that the Utility Vehicles segment (which includes figures from Mahindra Electric Automobile Limited) accounted for the bulk of domestic sales. The Company reported a significant increase in LCV sales, with subclasses demonstrating noteworthy growth: LCVs under 3.5T saw sales rise to 24,786 units, contributing significantly to the overall sales.
On the international front, despite a slight decrease in total exports to 2,820 units (-9%), year-to-date figures for exports climbed by 25% to 30,061 units. These results highlight Mahindra’s ongoing efforts in expanding its global footprint.
Overall, Mahindra’s total vehicle sales for the month included a diverse range of products from SUVs and LCVs to three-wheelers and export volumes, showcasing the company’s broad capability within the automotive market.
