L&T Secures Major Contracts for Upcoming Construction Projects in India
In a significant boost to its Buildings & Factories sector, L&T has announced the acquisition of several substantial contracts for projects across India. These recent wins highlight the company’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure and public facilities in key regions.
Revitalizing Tourism with the Acharya Shankar Museum
One of the standout projects includes an order from the Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation. L&T will develop the Advait Lok, which encompasses the Acharya Shankar Museum Complex and parking facilities located in Omkareshwar, Khandwa district. This ambitious project will feature a modern museum designed to celebrate the life and teachings of Acharya Shankar, showcasing intricate stone carvings alongside glass fibre reinforced concrete architectural details.
The project scope involves comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, including civil works, architectural finishes, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services, along with external development and maintenance services for five years. The museum complex is expected to be completed within 36 months.
Enhancing Sports Infrastructure in Assam
L&T has also secured a critical contract from the Assam Government to revamp the R G Baruah Sports Complex in Guwahati. This redevelopment project will introduce a FIFA-compliant football stadium with a seating capacity of 25,000, among other sporting facilities to promote athletic development within the region. The timeline set for this project is 27 months.
Luxury Residential Towers to Transform Mumbai’s Skyline
Another significant achievement for L&T is the acquisition of a project from a prominent developer for constructing luxury high-rise residential towers in Mumbai. This ambitious venture will consist of three towers, each with two basements, a ground floor, and 45 to 66 floors above ground, reaching an impressive height of up to 230 metres. The towers will feature reinforced concrete shell and core construction, premium finishing, and extensive MEP systems.
These latest contracts underscore L&T’s position as a leader in the construction industry and its ongoing contribution to India’s infrastructural growth.
