Scene 1: Difficult Conversations About Love and Marriage
The episode opened with Rishi having a serious conversation with Jhanak about her place in his family and their complex relationship. “Jhanak, are you really certain that nobody in my family loves you except for Putul and Dadabhai? Is that truly what you believe?” he asked directly. Jhanak simply nodded her head to confirm his question, showing that she felt isolated from most of his family members. Rishi tried to change the subject and make the conversation lighter.
“Come on, let’s stop talking about these heavy topics and go eat something. You need to take care of your health,” he suggested gently. But Jhanak had more to say about love and relationships. “I don’t want anyone to love me, Rishi. The truth is that not everyone in this world gets to have everything they want in life. Some people have to accept that love isn’t meant for them,” she said with resignation. Rishi disagreed with her pessimistic view of love. “Love isn’t something you can control or plan for, Jhanak. It just happens naturally when two people connect with each other.”
Jhanak then confronted Rishi about his inconsistent behavior toward her. “You talk to me so sweetly and lovingly when we’re alone like this. But when Aditi is around, you scold me and treat me badly. If this is your idea of love, then I don’t understand what love means,” she challenged him. Rishi tried to explain the complicated nature of his feelings and situation. “It’s not as simple as you think, Jhanak. The problem is that I can’t give a proper name to what I feel for you. I can’t define this relationship we have,” he admitted honestly. Jhanak pressed him further about his marriage.
“Tell me honestly, Rishi. Are you not happy with Aditi as your wife?” she asked directly. Rishi’s answer revealed the complexity of his emotional situation. “I consider myself very lucky because I have received love from two different people in my life. But I also know that I will never receive love from the person I truly love in my heart,” he said sadly. Jhanak wanted clarification about his feelings for his wife. “So you’re saying you don’t love Aditi at all?” she asked. Rishi explained his understanding of different types of love. “There are many different kinds of love in this world, Jhanak.
The love I have for Aditi and the love I feel for you are completely different from each other. They can’t be compared.” Jhanak felt this was unfair to Aditi. “By talking like this, you’re insulting Aditi and disrespecting your marriage. She deserves better than this,” she said disapprovingly. Rishi continued explaining his complicated feelings about his wife and the woman he truly loved. “Aditi is my responsibility as my wife, and I do care for her and like her as a person. But I’m not able to tell Aditi the truth that I love you instead of her.” He then tried to redirect Jhanak’s attention to her future.
“You should focus on building your career and making something of yourself. I hope that someday you’ll find a good husband who can give you the love and happiness you deserve.” Jhanak reminded him of an important fact about her personal situation. “I can’t think about marriage or finding a husband, Rishi. My marriage has already happened, even though it was forced on me against my will. That changes everything about my future possibilities.” They sat down together and began eating the food that Rishi had brought for her. During their meal, Jhanak started coughing, and Rishi immediately gave her water to help her feel better. He continued caring for her throughout the meal.
“Please eat more, Jhanak. You need to keep your strength up,” he said with concern. Jhanak felt guilty about accepting his care. “You have so many other people in your life who need your attention and care. You shouldn’t be spending time serving me,” she said. Rishi then mentioned an upcoming family celebration. “Dadabhai and Indumati are going to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary soon. I’m sure Putul will definitely invite you to join the celebration.” Jhanak immediately rejected this idea. “I’m not allowed to enter your house anymore, and even if I was invited, I wouldn’t want to come.
I need to protect my self-respect and dignity,” she said firmly. Rishi asked her not to talk about such serious matters while they were eating. Jhanak continued expressing her concerns about his behavior. “You did something wrong by coming here on the strike day without informing anyone about your real purpose. I want to live my life with complete honesty and transparency, but your actions make that difficult.”
Scene 2: Unexpected Arrival and Public Confrontation
Just as Rishi and Jhanak were having their private conversation, their peaceful meal was suddenly interrupted by the arrival of unexpected visitors. Aditi appeared at the college with Aniruddh and Arshi, creating an immediately tense situation. Aditi started clapping sarcastically when she saw Rishi and Jhanak eating together. “Well, well, what do we have here?” she said with obvious anger. Jhanak was completely shocked to see them there and realized that their private conversation had been discovered.
Aditi directly confronted Rishi about his lies. “I thought Jhanak had joined the police team since you said you were bringing food for your team members. But here I find you sharing a private meal with her instead,” she accused angrily. Rishi was caught off guard by their sudden appearance and tried to understand what was happening. “What are you all doing here? How did you know I was at the college?” he asked defensively. Aniruddh questioned whether they had done anything wrong by coming to find him. “Did we do something wrong by trying to locate you when you lied to us about where you were going?” he asked.
The principal, who had been watching the situation unfold, explained how they had discovered Rishi’s location. “I informed Aniruddh about Rishi’s arrival at the college. Rishi broke the institutional rules by coming here to meet Jhanak instead of following proper procedures.” Aditi became more aggressive in her confrontation and made a direct challenge to Jhanak. “Tell me, Jhanak, what will it take for you to stay away from my husband permanently? What do you want in exchange for leaving him alone?” she demanded. Rishi tried to intervene and defend Jhanak, but Aditi cut him off immediately.
“Shut up, Rishi. I don’t want to hear anything from you right now,” she said angrily. In her rage, Aditi threw the food that Rishi had brought for Jhanak onto the ground. “I want to know what rights you think you have to bring food to this woman. She’s not your responsibility,” Aditi shouted. Arshi supported Aditi’s anger and questioned Rishi’s honesty. “Why did you lie to all of us about your real reason for coming here? You said you were feeding your team, not having a private meal with Jhanak.” Aniruddh also joined in criticizing Rishi’s behavior. “You’re hurting Aditi and destroying your marriage because of your obsession with Jhanak.
This has to stop.” Rishi was upset about the wasted food and questioned Aditi’s actions. “Why did you throw the food on the ground like that? There was no reason to waste it.” Aditi’s response was filled with hurt and anger. “You lied to me about where you were going and what you were doing. Jhanak has no rights to anything from you, especially not your care and attention.”
Scene 3: Jhanak’s Dignified Response and Family Tensions
Aditi demanded that Jhanak respond to the accusations and confrontation. “Don’t you have anything to say for yourself now? Are you going to stay quiet while I’m talking to you?” she challenged. Jhanak maintained her dignity and gave a measured response. “I will not interfere in a conversation between a husband and wife. That’s not my place, and I respect the boundaries of marriage.” However, she made it clear that she would defend herself if necessary.
“But if Aniruddh says anything directly to me, then I will definitely respond and speak up for myself.” Arshi tried to intimidate Jhanak by bringing up her financial situation. “You don’t even have enough money to hire a proper lawyer to defend yourself in legal matters. You’re in no position to make demands or threats.” Jhanak clarified her position regarding her relationship with Aniruddh. “I never asked for Aniruddh’s property or his money. All I wanted was recognition of my identity and my rightful place. That’s completely different from asking for material things.”
She then apologized for the situation that had developed. “I’m sorry for eating the food that Rishi brought here. I didn’t mean to create problems between him and his wife.” Jhanak turned to Rishi and explained why she had been reluctant to accept his food in the first place. “This is exactly why I didn’t want to eat anything from you. I knew it would create problems and misunderstandings like this.” Rishi felt responsible for the entire situation and apologized to Jhanak for putting her in this difficult position. “I’m sorry that you’re being blamed and confronted because of my actions, Jhanak. This isn’t fair to you.”
But he also made it clear that he wouldn’t be deterred from helping her. “No one can stop me from helping you when you need support. I will continue to care about your well-being regardless of what anyone says.” He then explained to Aditi why he hadn’t told her the truth about bringing food to Jhanak. “I didn’t tell you because I knew you would have thrown the lunch box in the house before I could even leave. You would have prevented me from bringing her any food at all.”
Meanwhile, in another part of the city, a tragic development was unfolding that would affect another family. A police officer approached Choton with grave news. “We need you to come with us to the mortuary. There’s something you need to confirm for us,” the officer said seriously. Bablu overheard this conversation and immediately started crying, fearing the worst possible news. Choton tried to remain hopeful despite the ominous request. “Maybe there’s been some kind of misunderstanding. This might not be what we think it is,” he said, trying to stay positive.
The police officer insisted that Choton needed to come and make a proper identification. “You need to come with us and confirm whether this concerns your family or not.” Choton asked if Bablu could accompany him for moral support. “Can my brother come with me? I don’t want to handle this alone.” But Bablu was too emotional to face what might be waiting at the mortuary. “I can’t do it, Choton. I’m too scared to see what’s there,” he said through his tears. Choton instructed Bablu to stay where he was. “Don’t go anywhere while I’m gone. Wait here for me to return,” he said before leaving with the police officer to face whatever awaited him at the mortuary.
Scene 4: Family Returns and Final Confrontations
Later that day, there was some relief when a police officer brought Anjana safely to Aniruddh’s house. Bablu was overwhelmed with joy and relief when he saw that Anjana was alive and well. He immediately ran to her and hugged her tightly, crying with happiness. “I was so scared that something terrible had happened to you,” he said while holding her close. The reunion brought some peace to the family, though they were still dealing with the stress and worry from the day’s events.
Back at the college, the confrontation continued as more family members became involved in criticizing Rishi’s behavior. Tanushri questioned Rishi about his decision to bring food to Jhanak. “Why did you think it was appropriate to bring food to her when you’re a married man? This kind of behavior is not acceptable,” she said disapprovingly. Neelu also joined in taunting Rishi about his choices. “You’re making a fool of yourself and embarrassing your entire family with these actions,” she said mockingly. Aniruddh expressed the family’s collective frustration. “We can’t tolerate this kind of behavior anymore. You’re destroying relationships and creating chaos for everyone.”
Aditi made a dramatic declaration about her future plans. “I will not continue staying in the same house as someone who treats me with such disrespect. I’m done with this marriage if this continues.” Rishi tried to defend his actions and insisted he had done nothing wrong. “I haven’t committed any crime by trying to help someone who needed food. There’s nothing immoral or inappropriate about showing basic human kindness.” Putul revealed her role in the situation and took some responsibility. “Rishi actually wanted to tell the truth about bringing food to Jhanak, but I advised him not to mention it because I knew it would create drama and arguments in the family.”
Arshi encouraged Aditi to leave the situation entirely. “Come on, Aditi. Let’s get out of here. You don’t need to subject yourself to this kind of treatment and humiliation.” Rishi made one final attempt to apologize to his wife and explain his actions. “Aditi, what exactly did I do that was so wrong? I’m sorry if my actions hurt you, but I was only trying to help someone who needed assistance.” But Arshi continued pushing Aditi to abandon Rishi completely. “Don’t trust him anymore, Aditi. His actions show that he doesn’t respect you or your marriage. We should leave this place right now and not look back.”
The Episode Ends Here
Precap: The situation becomes even more complicated when Rishi approaches Jhanak with something important on his mind. “Jhanak, I really need to talk to you about something private. Please give me a few minutes of your time,” he requests earnestly. However, Jhanak has had enough of the drama and complications that their conversations create. “I don’t want to talk to you anymore, Rishi. These conversations only lead to problems for both of us,” she refuses firmly.
As Jhanak tries to walk away from him, Rishi becomes desperate and grabs her hand to stop her from leaving. “Please don’t go. Just listen to what I have to say,” he pleads. At that exact moment, Aditi appears and witnesses Rishi holding Jhanak’s hand. “So this is the important work you keep talking about? This is how you spend your time?” she asks angrily. Unknown to both Rishi and Aditi, Sanjhbati is also watching this scene unfold from a distance, taking note of everything that’s happening between them.
