Recent reports indicate that Apple will retain the front camera and sensor layout from its predecessor, opting for a centered pill-shaped cutout rather than shifting it to the top-left corner. iPhone 18 Series: Face ID Could Move Under Display
Apple appears to be considering a reconfiguration of the Face ID components rather than a complete redesign for the iPhone 18 series. The iPhone 18 Pro is anticipated to feature a 6.27-inch Super Retina display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the Pro Max variant may boast a larger 6.86-inch Super Retina display, also supporting 120Hz. Both models are expected to incorporate under-display Face ID components, which could contribute to a more compact Dynamic Island.
In terms of camera capabilities, the rear setup is likely to maintain a triple-lens configuration similar to the previous generation. However, leaks suggest that Apple may introduce a variable aperture system, a stacked image sensor, and enhancements for low-light photography.
