Indian naval vessel Tarkash called at Muscat, Oman from 19 to 22 June 2023. During the visit, the vessel undertook targeted activities in support of GoI’s ‘Ocean Ring of Yoga’ initiative as part of the 9th International Day of Yoga 2023, in coordination with EoI, Muscat, Oman.
On 21 June, the commanding officer along with the ship’s crew attended the Oman Yoga Yatra held at the Indian School Muscat organized by EoI. The Ambassador of India to Oman congratulated the Commanding Officer, INS Tarkash before the start of the Yoga, among the approximately 2000 participants present at the venue.
During the port call, the ship’s crew interacted with the armed forces of the Sultan of Oman, during which an organized visit was conducted to the Sultan’s Armed Forces Museum and Center for Maritime Security, Muscat, Oman .
The Indian Navy and Omani Royal Navy share close ties of friendship and the same was evident throughout all interactions.
