India Strengthens Global Healthcare Ties at Advantage Health Care 2026

In a significant virtual gathering today, Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed the 8th edition of ‘Advantage Health Care – India 2026,’ hosted by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) in New Delhi. Nadda emphasized the strides India is making under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership to reform and enhance the country’s healthcare system, aiming for global alignment and resilience.

The event drew a robust international presence, which Nadda highlighted as a testament to India’s growing recognition in the global healthcare arena. He lauded FICCI for its steadfast commitment to showcasing India as a leading destination for medical travel, facilitating vital dialogues and partnerships that amplify India’s presence in the global healthcare landscape.

Advancements in Medical Value Travel

During his address, the Union Minister reiterated the crucial role of Medical Value Travel in connecting India with the global healthcare community. He pointed out that India’s commitment to clinical excellence is underscored by internationally recognized standards, a transparent governance framework, and a strong patient-centric care ethos. Nadda remarked that India is equipped with highly skilled medical professionals and modern healthcare facilities offering advanced treatments across diverse medical specialties, including cardiology, oncology, organ transplantation, orthopaedics, and neurosciences.

He further noted that the integration of cutting-edge technologies and digital health solutions has significantly improved patient outcomes and service delivery, thereby reinforcing India’s appeal as a reliable healthcare partner.

Collaboration for a Healthier Future

The Union Government is actively strengthening the ecosystem surrounding medical value travel by enhancing collaboration among various Ministries, regulatory bodies, and State Governments. Nadda indicated that the government views medical travel not just as an economic prospect, but as a means to foster international cooperation and enhance cultural ties.

Expressing optimism about the outcomes of the conference, the minister urged all stakeholders to engage actively, explore new partnerships, and recognize the potential that India offers as a dependable healthcare ally.

Meanwhile, Shri Prataprao Jadhav, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, echoed the theme of collaboration. He noted that modern healthcare transcends national boundaries, driven by cooperation and shared knowledge. He emphasized India’s integrated healthcare approach, which combines advanced clinical practices with technology and a robust pharmaceutical sector, enhancing its capacity to cater to global healthcare needs.

Showcasing India’s Healthcare Prowess

Jadhav highlighted the significance of marrying traditional medicine with contemporary medical practices, which he believes leads to holistic healthcare solutions. This, he argued, aligns with India’s broader vision of innovation, prevention, and treatment.

The event concluded with an exhibition spotlighting India’s formidable healthcare capabilities, featuring premier hospitals, diagnostic services, advanced medical technologies, and wellness centers. The showcase illustrated the depth of India’s healthcare ecosystem while reinforcing its commitment to high-quality and sustainable health services.

Senior officials from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, industry representatives, and international delegates were present, marking a substantial step in fostering enduring global collaborations in healthcare.
