The Minister addressed attendees during the Inaugural Plenary, an event organized in collaboration with the Department of Science & Technology and other stakeholders, including the National Disaster Management Authority and the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure. This gathering saw contributions from esteemed experts in climate and sustainable development fields.
Dr. Singh pointed out the distinct challenges India faces, balancing extreme heat in some areas with extreme cold in others. He noted that these diverse climatic conditions necessitate tailored strategies rather than a one-size-fits-all global approach.

As India navigates an evolving landscape of health risks, including both tropical diseases and lifestyle-related conditions, rising temperatures are exacerbating these challenges.
