ICICI Bank Announces Revision in Charges for Savings Accounts Effective July 1, 2025

ICICI Bank, one of Indiaโ€™s leading private sector banks, has announced a comprehensive revision of its charges applicable to Savings Account holders, set to take effect from July 1, 2025. The revised schedule of charges will impact a wide range of account types, transaction modes, and services, with the aim of aligning service costs with evolving banking patterns and operational needs.

The changes, which are detailed in a recent notification from the bank, cover key areas such as Demand Drafts, Pay Orders, ATM transactions, Immediate Payment Service (IMPS), cash transaction charges, and debit card fees. Below is a detailed breakdown of the forthcoming changes:

1. Demand Draft (DD) and Pay Order (PO) Issuance Charges

  • Regular Savings & Regular Salary Accounts:

    • Up to โ‚น10,000: Revised to โ‚น50 per DD/PO (previously โ‚น50).

    • Above โ‚น10,000: โ‚น2 per โ‚น1,000, subject to a minimum of โ‚น50 and a maximum of โ‚น15,000 (previously โ‚น5 per โ‚น1,000, minimum โ‚น75).

  • Rural Locations:

    • Up to โ‚น10,000: โ‚น40

    • โ‚น10,001 to โ‚น50,000: โ‚น60

    • Above โ‚น50,000: โ‚น5 per โ‚น1,000 (max โ‚น15,000)

  • Senior Citizen Savings Accounts:

    • No change: Charges remain โ‚น40 up to โ‚น10,000; โ‚น60 between โ‚น10,001โ€“โ‚น50,000; โ‚น5 per โ‚น1,000 above โ‚น50,000 (max โ‚น15,000).

  • Power Pay Salary Account/Family 360ยฐ Banking Salary Account:

    • Nil charge for DD up to โ‚น1 lakh. Above that, โ‚น5 per โ‚น1,000 (max โ‚น15,000).

2. ATM Interchange and Withdrawal Charges

  • At Non-ICICI Bank ATMs (in six metro cities: Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad):

    • After three free transactions (financial or non-financial), charges increase to โ‚น23 per financial transaction (from โ‚น21) and remain โ‚น8.5 for non-financial.

  • Other Locations:

    • After five free transactions, โ‚น23 per financial transaction and โ‚น8.5 per non-financial transaction.

  • ATM Withdrawal at Other Banks (Outside India):

    • No change: โ‚น125 per transaction + 3.5% currency conversion charge. Non-financial: โ‚น25/transaction.

3. ICICI Bank ATM Charges

  • Regular Savings Account:

    • After five free financial transactions, charge revised to โ‚น23 per transaction (previously โ‚น21). Non-financial transactions remain free.

4. IMPS (Immediate Payment Service) Outward Charges

  • Up to โ‚น1,000: โ‚น2.50 per transaction (unchanged)

  • Above โ‚น1,000 to โ‚น1 lakh: โ‚น5 per transaction (previously up to โ‚น25,000)

  • Above โ‚น1 lakh to โ‚น5 lakh: โ‚น15 per transaction (unchanged for higher band, but lower band revised upwards)

5. Cash Transaction Charges

Regular Savings & Regular Salary Accounts

  • Deposits and Withdrawals (branch & Cash Recycler Machines):

    • First 3 cash transactions free per month. Thereafter, โ‚น150 per transaction.

    • Free value limit up to โ‚น1 lakh per month; beyond this, โ‚น3.5 per โ‚น1,000 or โ‚น150 (whichever is higher) (previously โ‚น5 per โ‚น1,000).

  • Non-Home Branch:

    • โ‚น5 per โ‚น1,000 for transactions above โ‚น25,000 or โ‚น150, whichever is higher.

  • Third Party Transactions:

    • Capped at โ‚น25,000 per transaction; charge remains โ‚น150 per transaction.

Senior Citizen Accounts

  • Similar structure to regular accounts, but for third-party transactions, accounts will not be charged, though the โ‚น25,000 cap per transaction remains.

Family 360ยฐ Banking & Power Pay Salary Accounts

  • Free limit up to โ‚น5 lakh per month; charges apply beyond this as above.

Wealth Management/Private Banking

  • Free limit up to โ‚น15 lakh per month; charges apply beyond this as above.

  • Five free cash transactions per month, then โ‚น150 per transaction.

6. Debit Card Annual Fees

  • Regular Savings & Regular Salary Accounts:

    • Revised from โ‚น200 to โ‚น300 per year.

    • For Gramin locations: Revised from โ‚น99 to โ‚น150 per year.

7. Replacement Card Fees

  • For lost or damaged cards, the fee is revised from โ‚น200 to โ‚น300 per card for all accounts except Basic Savings Bank Deposit Account (BSBDA).

Additional Notes

  • The revised charges are exclusive of applicable taxes as per government rules.

  • Modifications in cash transaction charges exclude regulatory accounts such as BSBDA, Incapacitated, Visually Impaired, and Blind accounts. Exclusions for other product variants remain unchanged.
