Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted today that he is overwhelmed with letters written to him by beneficiaries who have been allotted pucca houses under the ‘Jahan Jhuggi Wahan Makan’ scheme in Kalkaji area of โโDelhi.
The women handed the letters to Foreign Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar who had visited them. The beneficiaries expressed their happiness and thanked the Prime Minister for helping them achieve their dream and making their life easier through the programme.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to continue working for the welfare of the poor.
The premier tweeted:
โI was overwhelmed to receive letters from mothers and sisters of Delhi’s Kalkaji who have pucca houses under the ‘Jahan Jhuggi Wahi Makaan’ scheme. When EAM @DrSJaishankar ji went there, the women delivered these letters, in which they expressed their expressed happiness. She tells how her year-old dream came true thanks to this program and the life of the whole family became easier. Thank you all very much for the letters! Our government is working for welfare of the poor. He will continue to work hard.”
