Shri Thakur noted that these border villages, once referred to as the ‘Last villages of India’ have been referred to as the ‘First villages’ by the Honorable Chief Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. More than 17 Ministers visited and stayed overnight in these villages. Under the visionary leadership of the Honorable Prime Minister, the government is trying to ensure the delivery of government programs focused on the empowerment of women and youth, connectivity with all-weather roads, clean drinking water supply, 24-hour energy, 7 days a week to focus on Solar and Wind Energy, Mobile Connectivity and Internet, Tourist Centres, Multipurpose Center and Health and Wellness Centre.
