The fast-tracking of 195 CBG plants was also highlighted, along with the finalization of CBG pricing under the SATAT scheme.
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy emphasized the need to revise guidelines for the Waste to Energy scheme to facilitate the release of Central Financial Assistance. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs announced plans to construct 67 CBG plants by March 2025. They acknowledged the importance of addressing issues related to feedstock and site identification to enhance the viability of CBG plants. The categorization of Fermented Organic Manure (FOM) and Liquid Fermented Organic Manure (LFOM) as separate categories under the Fertilizer Control Order was also discussed to improve soil health and increase awareness among farmers.
