Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya Partners with Amazon for Logistics Innovation
A significant partnership has been formed between Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), India’s premier institution for transportation and logistics education, and Amazon, the global e-commerce leader. Through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), both organizations will engage in knowledge sharing and jointly develop academic curricula as well as collaborative research initiatives. A prominent feature of this agreement is the establishment of the Amazon Chair Professorship at GSV, which will focus on research in the warehousing sector using data-driven decision-making frameworks.
Prof. Manoj Choudhary, Vice Chancellor of GSV, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. He stated that the university is dedicated to redefining the future landscape of India’s logistics sector. As the only institution in the country exclusively devoted to this field, GSV aims to foster specialized talent development and rigorous research. Prof. Choudhary noted that teaming up with Amazon India would provide valuable industry insights, thereby enhancing strategic planning, design, and innovation in logistics and transportation through cooperative projects.

Established as a Central University by an Act of Parliament in 2022, GSV operates under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India.
