As part of the G20 Research Ministers Meeting (RMM) agenda, Research and Innovation Initiative Gathering (RIIG) delegates paid a study visit to IIT Bombay today (6 July 2023).
The delegates were received by Director, IIT Bombay Prof. S. Sudarshan and Secretary, Department of Science and Technology (DST) Dr. Srivari Chandrasekhar. Prof. S. Sudarshan presented an overview of IITs, Prof. Upendra Bhandarkar spoke on the R&D ecosystem and Prof. Asim Tewari spoke on entrepreneurship and the innovation environment at IIT Bombay followed by a brief interaction with delegates. They were briefed on the institute’s research, innovation and technology incubation and infrastructure facilities.
The delegates also visited various exhibition stands set up by IIT-B presenting the innovations and technologies developed by the various Departments and Centers of the Institute.
