Ex-Servicemen Job Fair Connects Veterans with 1,290 Career Options
In a significant initiative aimed at enhancing employment opportunities for veterans, the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR), under the auspices of the Ministry of Defence, hosted an Ex-Servicemen Job Fair at the Aravali Auditorium in Shankar Vihar Military Station, New Delhi, on March 20, 2026. This well-attended event attracted more than 850 ex-servicemen and facilitated connections with 42 prominent national and multinational companies, offering a total of over 1,290 diverse job opportunities.
The Job Fair was inaugurated by Rear Admiral RK Singh, the Project Director (P&A) at HQ ATVP, alongside Commodore Vikrant Kishore, the Principal Director of DGR. During the event, these senior officers engaged with both veterans and corporate representatives, gaining valuable insights into current employment trends and the evolving expectations within various industries.

Among the dignitaries present were Commodore Sumeet Kapoor, NM, Commodore of Naval Veterans; Brigadier Eshan Dalal, SM, from Brig DIAV; and Shri Naveen Patwardhan, Senior Vice President and HLE at CSC e-Governance Services India Ltd. The presence of such esteemed individuals underlined the importance of the event in fostering a supportive environment for veterans transitioning to civilian careers.
Several reputable companies participated as prominent recruiters at the fair, including Schneider Electric, GA Digital Web World Pvt Ltd, CemIndia Projects Ltd, KP Singh Foundation, and KCC Institute of Technology & Management. These organizations were keen to tap into the rich skill sets that ex-servicemen bring to the workforce.
