Essential Stock Recommendations for January 30, 2026: Top Companies to Consider Today

Indian stock markets are showing signs of recovery, with the Nifty index gaining momentum amid positive sentiment driven by the anticipated India-EU Free Trade Agreement. Bajaj Broking Research has identified State Bank of India (SBI) and Jayaswal Neco Industries as top stock picks for January 30, 2026. The report highlights the current market conditions, including the impact of the US Federal Reserve’s recent decisions and upcoming economic events, such as the Union Budget.

Nifty Index Performance

The Nifty index has experienced a notable rebound this week, extending its gains and reflecting a sustained bullish trend in the domestic markets. This positive momentum is largely attributed to optimism surrounding the India-EU Free Trade Agreement, which is expected to enhance trade prospects and bolster medium-term economic growth. In the global arena, the US Federal Reserve opted to maintain interest rates between 3.50% and 3.75%, citing stabilizing labor conditions and modest job growth. This decision has contributed to an upgraded growth outlook for the US economy.

Despite the positive sentiment, market volatility is anticipated to remain high in the coming weeks, particularly with the Union Budget scheduled for February 1, 2026. The Nifty index has surged over 500 points in the last three sessions, bouncing back from a key support zone between 24,800 and 25,000. Analysts predict that the index will likely consolidate within the range of 25,000 to 25,550, with stock-specific movements taking precedence. A breakout above 25,550 could lead to further gains towards the 25,700 to 25,800 levels, while immediate support is identified at 25,150.

Bank Nifty Outlook

The Bank Nifty index has shown strong performance, demonstrating clear relative strength as it hovers around the 60,000 mark. Similar to the Nifty, the Bank Nifty is expected to face elevated volatility in the wake of the upcoming Union Budget and uncertain global cues. In the short term, analysts suggest that the index may consolidate within the range of 60,400 to 58,500. A move above the recent high of 60,400 could unlock further upside potential towards 61,500 levels. Key support levels are identified at 58,000 to 57,500, which coincide with the 100-day exponential moving average and a significant breakout area.

Stock Recommendations

Bajaj Broking Research has recommended two stocks for investors to consider. The first is the State Bank of India (SBI), with a suggested buying range of ₹1,030 to ₹1,070. The stock has recently broken out above a bullish rounding formation, presenting a fresh entry opportunity. Analysts expect SBI to maintain a positive bias, targeting ₹1,150 over the next 12 months, representing an anticipated return of 11%. The weekly MACD indicator also supports this positive outlook.

The second recommendation is Jayaswal Neco Industries, with a buying range of ₹72 to ₹75. The stock has corrected from a recent high of ₹94 and is currently trading near its medium-term trendline support, which aligns with the 100-day EMA. Historically, this stock has shown strong buying interest at these levels. Immediate support is noted in the ₹68 to ₹70 range, while the stock is expected to target the unfilled gap zone between ₹80 and ₹86, which may act as a resistance area.
