Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said the government’s recent move to improve welfare programs for ex-servicemen would improve their quality of life.
The Union Minister Shri Rajnath Singh informed that as a result of the top priority given to the ex-servicemen’s welfare and ease of living policy, the amount provided by the following ex-servicemen’s welfare programs has been increased.
1. Vocational Training Grant of Rs 20000 to Rs 50000 for widows of ESM up to Hav/equivalent.
2. Medical Grant Rs 30000 to Rs 50000 for ESM/Non-Retired Widows up to Hav/equivalent.
3. Critical Illness Contribution Rs 1.25 lakh to Rs 1.50 lakh for ESM/non-retired widows of all grades.
In response, the Prime Minister tweeted:
