DRDO Showcases Innovative Defense Technologies in Bihar
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is set to unveil its latest advancements in defense technology during a major exhibition at Mahatma Gandhi Prekshagrih in Motihari, Bihar. The event will take place from April 15 to 18, 2026, and aims to highlight the progress made toward achieving an ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ or self-reliant India. Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence, Shri Radha Mohan Singh, will inaugurate the exhibition, themed ‘Shanti, Satya Aur Vigyan Ka Sangam – Surakshit Aur Aatmanirbhar Bharat Ki Aur’.
Innovative Demonstrations
Attendees can expect to see a variety of advanced defense systems at the exhibition. The showcased technologies will include the Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) System, Akash Surface-to-Air Missile, BrahMos Missile, and several others, each representing a leap in India’s defense capabilities.
Among the notable displays are the Prithvi Missile, NAG Anti-Tank Guided Missile, and the advanced Akash-NG (New Generation) Missile launcher. Also featured will be the Pralay Missile, Anti-Satellite (A-SAT) Missile, and the Man Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile (MPATGM). The exhibition will illustrate India’s commitment to creating a robust defense arsenal.
Expanding Defense Capabilities
Additional technologies set to be presented at the exhibition include the Advanced Towed Artillery Gun Systems (ATAGS), the Pinaka Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS), the Main Battle Tank (MBT) Arjun-Mk-I&II, and the Indian Light Tank (ILT). Various support systems such as Modular Bridging System, Drone Detection Radar, and the Uttam AESA Radar will also be on display.
