December IPO Surge: ICICI Prudential, Juniper, and Other Companies to Watch

India’s primary market is poised for a remarkable finish to the year, with a series of public offerings set to take place in December. This month alone is anticipated to generate nearly Rs 30,000 crore, contributing to what has already become a record-breaking year for equity issuances. With around 25 IPOs expected, including major listings from companies like ICICI Prudential Asset Management Co and Meesho, market analysts are optimistic about the sustained momentum in the IPO landscape.
Surge in IPO Activity
December is shaping up to be a significant month for initial public offerings (IPOs) in India, with projections indicating around 25 listings. Among the most notable are ICICI Prudential Asset Management Co, aiming to raise Rs 10,000 crore, followed by Meesho with Rs 5,400 crore, Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions at Rs 5,200 crore, Fractal Analytics seeking Rs 4,900 crore, and Juniper Green Energy targeting Rs 3,000 crore. This surge follows a busy October, which saw 10 IPOs raising Rs 45,188 crore, and nine issues in November that brought in Rs 23,613 crore. The current activity reflects a strong business confidence and a selective investor base, suggesting that the IPO boom is far from over.
Investor Confidence and Market Dynamics
Market experts attribute the ongoing IPO momentum to a combination of robust entrepreneurial spirit and a discerning investor appetite. Neha Agarwal, managing director at JM Financial Institutional Securities Ltd, emphasized that the current rush is not merely a year-end phenomenon but a result of high-quality companies attracting investor interest. She noted that investors are increasingly favoring firms with strong management, governance, and credible business models. This trend indicates a shift towards quality-first investment strategies, where companies facing uncertainties may struggle to gain traction.
In addition to large IPOs, a wave of mid-sized offerings is also on the horizon, with companies like Wakefit Innovations and Innovatiview each looking to raise Rs 1,500 crore. Meesho and Aequs have already set their subscription windows for December 3–5, while others await final announcements. This diverse range of offerings highlights the growing confidence in the market.
Liquidity and Market Stability
The current IPO surge is further supported by a strong liquidity environment in domestic markets. Systematic investment plan (SIP) contributions of approximately Rs 30,000 crore each month provide a stable capital foundation, even as foreign investment flows fluctuate. Domestic institutional investors have shown consistent participation over the past two years, instilling confidence in investment bankers that the market can absorb the influx of new issuances without disruption.
Gaurav Sood, managing director at Avendus Capital, noted that the current cycle is characterized by a significant number of offer-for-sale (OFS) deals, with nearly two-thirds of recent IPO funding coming from shareholder exits. Despite this trend, the market has remained stable, indicating a healthy appetite for new listings. Sood believes that the ongoing liquidity strength will facilitate the smooth execution of large deals across various sectors, suggesting that the positive momentum in the IPO market is likely to continue into 2026.
Record-Breaking Year for IPOs
The fundraising figures for this year reflect a strong sense of optimism among market participants. Agarwal pointed out that main-board IPO issuances have already surpassed last year’s total of Rs 1.5 lakh crore, with the month of December just beginning. This impressive performance underscores the resilience and potential of India’s primary markets, as they continue to attract significant capital and investor interest. As the year draws to a close, the outlook for the IPO landscape remains bright, with expectations of sustained activity and growth in the coming months.
