Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3 Introduces Four New Vehicles and AutoDrive Feature

Cyberpunk 2077 has received a significant update, version 2.3, which is now available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X. Developer CD Projekt Red announced this new patch on Wednesday, introducing four new vehicles, each accompanied by unique side quests. The update also features an innovative AutoDrive function that allows players to experience autonomous driving in the game. Additionally, players can expect new NPCs, enhanced photo mode options, and various quality-of-life improvements, making the gameplay experience more engaging and immersive.

New Vehicles and Side Quests

The Update 2.3 introduces four exciting new vehicles to Cyberpunk 2077, each linked to specific side quests. Players can now acquire the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru, Rayfield Caliburn “Mordred,” Yaiba ASM-R250 Muramasa, and Chevillon Legatus 450 Aquila. The first three vehicles can be obtained by completing the side jobs associated with them, while the Chevillon Legatus 450 Aquila is available for purchase through the Autofixer. This addition not only expands the vehicle roster but also enhances the gameplay by encouraging players to engage in side quests for rewards.

AutoDrive Feature Enhancements

One of the standout features of this update is the introduction of AutoDrive, which allows players to let their character, V, be driven to a selected destination autonomously. If no destination is chosen, the AutoDrive feature will take players on a scenic tour through the vibrant streets of Night City. This feature is complemented by a new Cinematic Camera option, providing players with stunning visual perspectives while cruising. However, it is important to note that AutoDrive will deactivate automatically if the vehicle sustains heavy damage or enters combat scenarios, ensuring that gameplay remains challenging and dynamic.

Improvements to NPCs and Customization

Update 2.3 also enhances the photo mode by adding 27 new NPCs, including notable characters like Rita Wheeler and Dum Dum. Players can now spawn these characters for more dynamic and engaging photo opportunities. Additionally, the update allows players to switch between V’s saved outfits, offering greater customization options. The Look-At Camera feature has also received more customization options, allowing players to tailor their experience further.

Technical Enhancements for All Platforms

The latest patch brings several technical improvements tailored for both PC and console players. On PC, support for AMD FSR 3.1 Frame Generation, Intel XeSS 2.0, and HDR10+ gaming has been added, enhancing the visual experience. Meanwhile, players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S can now enjoy VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) support on compatible televisions. These enhancements aim to provide a smoother and more visually appealing gaming experience, ensuring that Cyberpunk 2077 continues to evolve and improve for its dedicated player base.
