Coromondel Express and Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal- Howrah Express derailed near Bahanaga Bazaar
In an unfortunate accident, train no. 12841 Coromandal Express (Howrah-Chennai) derailed this evening near Bahanaga Bazaar Station. Train no. 12864 SMVB-HWH Superfast Exp (Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal- Howrah) it was also derailed at Bahanaga Bazaar Station. Bahanaga Bazar Railway Station is a railway station on the Kharagpur-Puri Line, part of the Howrah-Chennai Main Line under the Kharagpur Railway Division of the South Eastern Railway Zone in Balasore district In Odyssey. Immediate Accident Rescue Train, Self-Propelled Accident Rescue Medical Vans (SPARME), Accident Rescue Trains (ART) where ordered from Kharagpur, Balasore and Santragachi.
The railway authorities immediately rushed to the scene to coordinate rescue and rescue operations. The entire goal of the railways is to save passengers and minimize casualties. Rescue operations are underway on a war footing. The NDRF team, medical team and ambulances are at the scene of the accident.
At the moment there are 02 the number of victims reported due to the tragic accident and several injured have been hospitalized in the nearby hospital. Passengers with minor injuries are transferred to medical units at Balasore, Khantapara, Soro and Gopalpur in priority.
