The Chief of the Defense Staff (CDS), General Anil Chauhan, visited the South Western Command based in Jaipur on 23 June 2023. He was received by the General Officer Commanding in Chief, Lieutenant General of the South Western Command B. S. Raju. During the visit, the CDS interacted with senior officers of the Indian Army and Indian Air Force. He also discussed operational aspects related to the Command.
Addressing the officers, the CDS stressed the Armed Forces’ commitment to strengthening jointmanship, optimizing resource allocation, and creating an environment to highlight the importance of synergy and modernization of the Armed Forces. He urged the soldiers to be ready, resurgent and relevant in the present era and emphasized Aatmanirbharta’s crucial role in defence. He stressed that soldiers must keep up to date with the latest information technology trends, emerging cyber threats and countermeasures. He complimented Command on its operational readiness and urged all ranks to continue striving for excellence.
