Senior officials and ministerial staff also participated in this significant occasion. The celebration paid tribute to the framers of the Indian Constitution and highlighted its core values of justice, equality, liberty, and fraternity.

Honoring the Framers of the Constitution

During the event, Minister Ram Mohan Naidu expressed deep respect for the framers of the Constitution. He urged everyone to engage actively in the campaign titled โ€œHamara Samvidhan, Hamara Swabhimaan.โ€ This campaign aims to instill a sense of pride in the Constitution among citizens. Naidu shared his personal journey, emphasizing how the Constitution empowered him to rise from a rural constituency like Srikakulam to the position of Civil Aviation Minister. He underscored the Constitution’s role in promoting democracy, allowing every citizen, regardless of caste, creed, or gender, to contribute to nation-building.

The Minister’s reflections on the Constitution’s impact resonated with the audience. He acknowledged the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has initiated a year-long celebration to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Constitution’s adoption. Naidu praised Modi for embodying the principles of equality and democracy, following in the footsteps of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The Prime Minister’s mantra of โ€œSabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayasโ€ aligns with the Constitution’s ideals of inclusivity and unity in diversity. Naidu reaffirmed his commitment to achieving 25% women participation in the aviation sector, emphasizing the importance of equal opportunities for all.

The Ministry’s Mission and Constitutional Values

Minister Ram Mohan Naidu elaborated on how the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s mission aligns with the ideals of the Constitution. He highlighted initiatives like UDAN, which aims to connect underserved areas and make air travel affordable and accessible. This initiative promotes equality, a fundamental principle enshrined in the Constitution. Naidu pointed out that seamless air travel opens doors to opportunities, symbolizing liberty and enabling millions to dream and achieve their goals.

The aviation sector plays a crucial role in strengthening national integration. By connecting people, cultures, and economies, it fosters the spirit of โ€˜Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.โ€™ This initiative promotes fraternity among citizens, reinforcing the idea that unity in diversity is essential for national progress. The Minister’s remarks underscored the transformative impact of aviation on society, making it a vital component of India’s development journey.

A Call to Action for Citizens

Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Shri Murlidhar Mohol, also spoke at the event, emphasizing the historical significance of Constitution Day.
